Good thoughts. I too think this track id an anomoly. Pole might be tight though. Did anyone watch FP3? How much were the times hampered by traffic?
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Damon Hill claims he was told by Mercedes that it's the new tyre pressure limits that's killing them this weekend....

As said, cue an 'accidental' underinflation, a let off and a verification to the verification for this weekend..

That's pretty much guaranteed not to happen after the drama at Monza...

Smells to me like ferrari and fia engineered these anti merc tyre pressures. Would love to see how this pans out for the rest of the season.
Though something tells me hamilyon will still won this race. At some point the wo6 will heat up its tyres during the race and be back on beastly form.
For Sure!!

How can Merc only be 1 tenth faster than Lotus and Williams? Something bizzare is going on.

Being on another team, you must think "what are they doing different then we?" If they're not fast enough here (while you are), but dominate on other tracks...

The new tire pressure specifications are preventing merc from turning their tires on. Hopefully it's just an issue with getting them up to temp, and not keeping them from overheating.

This is the FIA you're talking about....the people who let Merc off last time out, then 'verified' this weekend that they had been in the wrong but won't be let off now..

They are already heating up the tyres. They just can't stop them overheating. As we've seen this season, they're very average in dirty air so will need to rely on their usual 'quali mode undercut' to make up places if they can't grab pole.
