0.4 sec in the qualification to the cars powered by Mercedes engine can not be done with inferior chassis.Wazari wrote:I got to roam around the track yesterday during FP3 and IMO after seeing the car on the track, this chassis is not good. Both Fernando and Jensen are really fighting the car through the "S curves" and "Casino Triangle". The car is all over the place compared to RB and Ferrari. It does not seem planted at all. We all know the Honda PU is way down on power but the chassis definitely needs to be revamped. IMO, I would venture to say it is inferior to all teams except Manor.
The other works teams are 0.75-1.00 ahead in sector 1 alone.j.yank wrote:0.4 sec in the qualification to the cars powered by Mercedes engine can not be done with inferior chassis.Wazari wrote:I got to roam around the track yesterday during FP3 and IMO after seeing the car on the track, this chassis is not good. We don't talk about them. Clearly McLaren-Honda are not behind all client teams except Williams maybe but I am not sure for them either. All other teams have huge power advantage in the qualifications. The difference between 2.1 sec with Mercedes and 0.4 sec with the Mercedes client teams can only be attributed to the chassis. Compensating 1.7 sec on chassis alone is not so bad I think.mrluke wrote:The other works teams are 0.75-1.00 ahead in sector 1 alone.j.yank wrote:0.4 sec in the qualification to the cars powered by Mercedes engine can not be done with inferior chassis.Wazari wrote:I got to roam around the track yesterday during FP3 and IMO after seeing the car on the track, this chassis is not good.
