It's a strong company,Chandon is part of the LVMH group, owned by Diageo, like Johnnie Walker, which is replaced by Chandon at McLaren.

"Ruma" has it Telefonica will step in as title sponsor in 2016 as their talks for 2015 started to late to make it happen last year.

I don't think a driver is in any way concerned with politics when he's driving around a F1 car. Politics in F1 are done off the track.

Johnnie Walker offered to be McLaren's title sponsor to the tune of $40million at the end of 2013 but Ron turned them down because the offer 'wasn't big enough' and they're leaving anyways. Chandon is replacing them. Source: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/motors ... -year.html

JW is still on the mirrors though whether it will continue to be in 2016 is TBD

What's sad is, without these stupid token restrictions, we would have seen Major PU mods by Honda. That would have resulted in some excitement on the track and some cool pics of what Honda was doing off the track. Instead they've been BSing us since Spain.... they've known since at least Spain that their KERS issue isn't resolvable with the number of tokens they have available. The Same would have been true for Renault and Ferrari (2014).

Aside from giving us 2 years of BORING racing I'm not sure what these rules are doing for us. It's tooo early and the differences to great for the token stuff to make sense.

It's my understanding that Johnnie Walker left McLaren but will become an F1 sponsor with their logos on the various GP venues instead.
