Bottas got very, very lucky. When he braked at the very end of the pitstraight, the very moment he braked, the back of the car snapped and the car spinned around at 300-350 kph. He hit the wall next to the track, but only just enough to break off the front wing. Could have ended much worse.

My God this track is slippery. Seems that almost all the teams are having problems getting heat into the front tyres. At the same time teams are having problems with overheating brakes. Guess teams might try to fly out new front brake ducts etc to flow more air into the brakes. If any of the teams can fix the overheating problems with brakes and transfer more heat into the front tyres then they can get two benefits for the price of one. Lap time should increase for that team by a margin., tomorrow will tell.

Consistent car control lap after lap is going be very valuable for this race. Can see a driver like button and Hamilton putting down quick consistent laps (quick with respect for their their car).

Hard to talk about Ferrari as it seems their improvement from friday to saturday is biggest now with Williams. I think they are using older engines on Fridays, and then race ones on Saturday and Sunday.

I didn't think they'd go so fast in a straight line, looks good for the McHondas, they're 20kph down on the speed traps and still mixing it with Williams. No surprise to see nothing but Ferrari and Mercedes at the top of the speed traps.
