2015 Mexican Grand Prix - Mexico City, Oct 30 - Nov 1

For ease of use, there is one thread per grand prix where you can discuss everything during that specific GP weekend. You can find these threads here.

Thanks but I already got lap times from. Alonso said on twitter that they lost 0,1 in S2 and 0,2 in S3. So if thats true then he lost a second in S1. Because for a full lap the deficit was 1,3 seconds.

Thats why I'm trying to find sector times for Q1...cant find them though.

Mods: I note that the race thread isn't showing in the active thread list on the home page. It was earlier today. A bit odd.

Edit: it's back now. Odd.

If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

It's obviously relevant as he's comparing it to other Q1s where the fastest times were also not as fast as they ended up being in Q3. So to say it's the closest they've been in Q1 all year is valid.

However, whether it's a sign of real progress of just track specific (not to mention a fairly short lap) is another thing.

The only thing Alonso and Button are fighting for is the exit :D

I do hope Mclaren have a decent race to end this crappy year off.
Myself I'm looking forward to the long run down to turn 1 at the start, I could see if it ends up being exciting because of this,
Bernie suggesting they move the start/finish line back at a few tracks like Monza
Its going to be interesting. I can well see Vettel heading into the first corner first. Esp. since Rosberg will only be watching Hamilton.

The Williams are no slow starters either, so they may well get a run on the Red Bulls.

Going to be an interesting corner.

Those gaps Alonso mentioned in his tweet was also confirmed by Boulier in post Q team report,as well as a small fact that they didnt push as hard as they could in Q and that they used race set up in that Q (read report)
So are you calling both of them liars and do you have better insight to telemetry then them?

My prediction is:

1) Lewis
2) Vettel
3) Nico

I think Nico has shifted his car towards Qualifying to much, and will either get jumped at the start, or during pit-stop rotation.

You'd need to buy the app, then you could download Qualifying and replay it

Prediction time:
Against speculation/wishes for an interesting start, Rosberg holds place with Hamilton and Vettel behind. Hamilton does not succeed to find a place to overtake in the first stint, but does so in the pit stop taking the lead. Rosberg get's massively annoyed, tries a full-on attack but can't get passed on track. Usual HAM-ROS-VET podium, with the Red Bulls, Williams, Raikkonen, Perez and Verstappen completing the top-10. At least 1 Mclaren breaks down.

The cheapest sort of pride is national pride, every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.

Racing incident. Had to happen at some stage to vettel tbh. It's a shame, his pace is good to mix it up with mercs at least.
