Sahara Force India has confirmed Esteban Ocon as a race driver for 2017 and beyond following the signing of a multi-year contract. The 20-year-old Frenchman will race alongside Sergio Perez to form a line-up on the grid with a blend of youth and experience.
This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.

What it won't do is the re-branding Renault/Red Bull are doing with TAG to divorce market perception.
I also doubt that the PU will be called Aston Martin but if the team and the car will be called Aston Martin, maybe a simple PU name: Aston Martin powered by Mercedes-Benz "on the bonnet" aka airboxcover will do the silly trick.
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.
You guys never read the very first Articles on this deal?
Mercedes clearly said they are okey with this deal because they own 5% of Aston Martin. They approved it on their part the rest is up to Force India(well not anymore) now it's up to Diageo.
So there are no problems on the Mercedes side.
They only said there could be no Re-Branding of the engine.

while also sending off 4 Hamilton players to make it more interesting"

Wouldn't make a lot of sense, as Aston road cars are now Merc powered, so claiming to build an F1 engine would be a strange use of cash.
Conversely, Aston Martin as the team name with Mercedes engines makes a lot of sense, showing that Merc power is the way to go, on and off the track to their customers.
In anyway, i think that the team will be called "Aston Martin Sahara Force India". Because of the money that came from television rights. Remember Manor Marussia, Lotus Renault...
Yes and don't forget BMW Sauber Ferrari. Although if other teams are changing their name at the same time (Lotus -> Renault, Manor Marussia -> ?), it is more likely that a name change would be allowed without quibbles over the prize money.
This thread title should be changed to Force India - As is, it is ingenuine. And as such, Mariana trench levels of down-voting shall commence until the title is changed to something sensible.
