Photo comparison between STR02-RBR03 2007

Post

Both cars have the same chassis ( designed by Adrian Newey ) , but Toro Rosso STR02 uses Ferrari engine while Red Bull RB03 Renault .

New aero parts and wings are usually first presented by RBR03 and then are inherited by STR02 .

Between the two cars there had been a significant gap in performance , in favor of RBR03 , but seems in the last few races that STR02 has finally managed to close this gap .

bar555, I am sure that the different electronic boxes will mostly be attributed to the systems supplied by Ferrari or Renault, although I notice the Renault has a Magneti-Marelli box too so maybe my theory is toast!

Is the RB3 pic a pre or post Spanish GP modification? Cause I assume those bigger exhaust chimneys may be used for cooling purposes as the normal chimneys were replaced with fins and some grills added.

RB03's larger exhaust chimneys were used from Australia . I think this difference comes from the different engines the two cars have .

I agree, and the different engines require very distinct rear end packaging as well, for cooling needs, and other possible differentiations between the two.
