I think that you are mistaken . I bet that both cars have similar nose cones and airbox inlets . F2007's airbox inlet is splitted in two parts but is not larger than the one in 248F1 .

Photos sometimes taken from different angles are misleading so i will post more pics to clear this .

Well the nosecone is quite different. Maybe not much narrower, but it has more internal volume. It's fat while the 248F1 had a flatter nose. I'm sure it's due to ballast.

I thought I'd offer some help as I have almost 2GB of Ferrari pictures and I almost never get to use them  .
These are the closest comparisons I've been able to find:

A bit difficult to tell if the airbox is different, but if I had to bet I would say it is. The edges are a little bit thiner (or is it just bigger?) on the F2007 and the top maybe a bit more wide and round.
The nose is definitely different, it's fatter and a bit less roundy downwards, it reminds me a bit of the new Toyota nose sometimes, but it could be just an impression caused by the camera mountings.

good show guys  ]
I think few changes are due to new single tire rule where previously ferrari used to enjoy tires on demand..IMO

In Reliability their is no significant improvement :(
