hello
guys can anyone tell me what exactly is mechanical grip n what r the various factors that affect the mechanical grip of a car??
i have heard so many times that ferrari struggles low doen force circuits due to lack of mechanical grip and its due to their longer wheelbase..can anybody explain me the reason behind this??

Mechanical grip is the amount of grip you can create through the suspension.

Some of the factor's are:
center of gravity
front/rear dive
oversteer/understeer
soft/hard suspension
front/rear sway bars

there's more but off of the top of my head these are some of the main ones. to put it simply, anything you can think of that doesn't have to do with the flow of air over the car.
