FIA wants to be on the safe side and cover every possibility.
The test case was a wheel and the canopy with the size they defined failed.
FIA have also been sketchy in the info provided
wonder if they tested a solution like this (part carbon fiber, part f16 canopy)
would have been heavy but who cares, they can reduce the size of the battery
