Mclaren MP4-31 Honda Speculation Thread

The only rule change this year (on the chassis side) is a new cockpit rim test (technical regulation 18.5). The load increases from 15 kn to 50 kn. I am interested how or if this area will change, because it is practically only a thin carbon plate. What do you guys think?

The head protection om the side of the helmet will be about 2 cm higher.

If I'm not wrong, they announced it that it would be online ages ago, the same is listed in the sky sports f1 2016 schedule - February 21: McLaren MP4-31, online

I think it was known long back that McLaren will be presenting MP4-31 online. I think Spanish and Italian press have been hard at work over the past few weeks to find any and every possible problem with MP4-31 and the team. Lot of journalists may not have too much work during off season so to earn their bread they need to come up with some article which attract eyeballs and site visits. This article is an attempt to sensationalize things as a McLaren Vs. Ferrari battle which has started even before the first race and McLaren has lost this one too.

Although I'm a hard tifoso I can hardly wait to see the new MP4 and also because of my theory about them having Samsung for a sponsorship, it will be an exciting presentation for me if they really have signed with Samsung for a main sponsorship .
