Can't see any new sponsors yet. Lost the red swoosh from the nose too

A bit disappointed with the livery, is basically the same as last year but hopefully this car will be fast & reliable enough.

His point is, there was speculation about Samsung being announced as title sponsor, while also launching their new Galaxy phone today.

Which was, as expected, purely conicidence. Had F1 not changed the Season opening and Testing Dates these Rumours would have never came up.

But that rumour was debunked as soon as it was posted here. It was from 2 years ago. The whole blue Monday/blue box thing was just people jumping to usual conclusions.

No dramas
Dare I open the title sponsor tin of worms? Or the lack of should I say?

It's nice to see a few more sponsors on the car but it's been far too long now for there not to be title sponsor really.
Saying that- I'd say overall the whole grid lacks sponsorship, so it's irrelevant that Mclaren don't have one.

They should do what they did 10 or so years ago and put the driver name on the sidepod...
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Overalls are again full of logo patches and the car is not blank (except the sidepods). People are nagging and nagging about it and it is becoming annoying. FI doesnt have a title sponsor, Sahara was only 1 sum deal which brought no more money after they bought their share, Lotus had Genii which again was only a firm which had a stake in the ownership. Ferrari itself has no title sponsor for years now, since Vodafone went to Mclaren.

Then we have Redbull and Haas which are branding themself, and aparently Renault is doing the same.

We are left with Sauber, Manor, STR, Williams which have occupied sidepods, but out of these 4 only Williams is the true team with title sponsorship.

And again regarding the Mclaren: Many times it was reported that Honda is paying to them 100mil a year. This could even mean 120-130mil per year (with no costs for engine purchasing), so title sponsor is not even seriously needed.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

Lets take two oldest teams: Ferrari vs. Mclaren in terms of this years sponsors:

Ferrari:
- Marlboro
- Shell
- Kaspersky
- Weichai
- Santander
- UPS
- Mahle
- Telcel
- Claro
- TNT
- Alfa Romeo (practically their own money)
- Hublot

Mclaren:
- Honda
- Mobil 1
- Chandon -
- Segafredo -
- Hilton -
- Esso (Mobil 1)
- CNN
- SAP
- Richard Mille
- Santander
- KPMG

Both of the companies have succesful sports car sales. May have missed someone. Overall the number of sponsors on the car and overalls is not so different. The only difference is how are the teams placing them on the car.

Ferrari probably gets more money, but still not too much in comparison.
