Haas VF16 Ferrari

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Yup. Looks like a serious F1car rather than an also ran. Good packaging, clean lines. They might still f*uck up somewhere but the design basis appears surprisingly sound and mature for newcomer. Very different from most of the last newcomers.

Haas stated a long time ago that they would buy every part from Ferrari that the rules allow. That includes the gearbox (which Sauber also use) and the front and rear suspension.

I imagine the bulk of the aerodynamic work is linking the front wing, floor, diffuser and rear wing. All of which are already developed.
