Curious if there is a rule of thumb for the time difference in the compounds? The soft seems to be .75 faster than the medium. Any guess what the difference is between the ultra soft and super softs? Super softs to softs?

Delta SS-US = 0.8 according to Ted Kravitz

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

If I was in the UK I would go to the bookmaker and put McLaren last in the WCC.

but they could score points in Monaco, Hungary, Singapore ... so beware.

So this effectively puts Hulkenberg on P1 by 0.4s for the time being. I sure hope this doesn't mean that Mercedes EPU leaped forward in relation to Ferrari.

This is useful, thanks - would be great to have the tyre used for the fastest time in there too though :)

You're welcome. Yes, it will be better with the tyre type but it's difficult to know.

This is grim news for the competition. The mercs on almost 500 laps, just mediums and 1.1 second faster then Raikkonen on the same compound.

Spot on, thanks mate.

We say it all the time but I'll reiterate: way too early to draw conclusions, we have no idea what programs people are running - not to mention that at least Ferrari and Honda are definitely running non-Melbourne PUs.
