It's a rather skewed one though as the MP4-31 picture is taken from a much different angle

Most of the F1F 'sliders' are similarly flawed. In this case they've aligned the FW and RWs. It's worse than useless, it's misleading.

Yeah that is a terrible comparison. The McLaren photo is taken with a front bias so the rear looks smaller. The way the two cars line up make it look like the McLaren is about a foot shorter than the Ferrari

Ehm... why they did that...

Those 2 pics were taken from 2 hugely different angles.
Picture of McLaren has very skewed perspective with the front of the car appearing much wider than the rear. Meaning the photo wasn't taken from centered top view but rather from the front higher up. I would go as far as to say that this pic the way it was edited shows more misinformation than anything else.

Those pics simply can't be used to compare the whole car, only particular bits and pieces can be compared and only roughly when size-matched and corrected the perspective as much as possible.

Now it's a mess, the perception of McLaren having wider sidepods is either completely or mostly false:

F1fanatic is one of the worst F1 sites. Not surprised Keith would allow an inaccurate picture like that to be published.
