Pizzonia in Magny-Cours

Post

Despite the rumors of JV racing for Williams in French GP and also Marc Genè as he is the official reserve driver it is more likely that Antonio Pizzonia will replace Ralf at Magny-Cours. Pizzonia has been very quick on tests but there is a doubt about his performance during races.
It is a good opportunity to test him. If he performs well he can race also in Silverstone otherwise Marc Genè will be the driver. There is also a chance of a shake-down after magny-Cours to test JV. Let's wait and see...

Well personally I think Williams' season is pretty much over, regardless of whatever Sam & Mario are saying about "taking the fight to Ferrari"

If I were Frank Williams, I'd really ask them to just put experimental parts on the car, just to accelerate next year's development a bit.

Plus, with Ralf out of the picture, it's an opportunity to get experimental with drivers :D So bring on JV!

I believe Marc Gene has a clause in his contract stating that he is #1 to take over if one of the primary drivers is injured.
"I'll bring us through this. As always. I'll carry you - kicking and screaming - and in the end you'll thank me. "

Uzael, you are probably right. Even if Frank Williams try to convince Marc about testing a different driver he should make all the clauses to be respect.
Go Gené!!!!!

Why, do you have any info on this? Schumacher didn't have any clauses in his contract when he crashed. He got replased by Mika Salo instead of their test driver. Salo, who by the way, having come fresh to the team, would have won his second GP clearly over Irvine, if he hadn't had to give the victory up to irvine. This shows how much talent Schumi really had, dominating Irvine like that. Anybody could have done it. So like i said before, anybody could easily win the WC if they were in the same position as Schumi is. He is not that special.

MS has periodically outdone his teammates. I doubt Irvine was good enough to get to the championship in 1997 even if he had the smae car as MS. That doesn't mean he isn't "special," as much as people always says he has the best car and team orders.

Everybody says Pizzonia is going to race; maybe to promote him as a decent racer since he was a rookie last year.
