Rosbergs 2nd lap better be good for his own sake or else he'll be compromizing himself relative to Hamilton....
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

So anybody thinks this new qualifying is a good idea?

'Cos I sure don't...

6 minutes to the end of qualifying, and, looks like no one can improve other than rosberg. Most boring qualifying session ever.

Dumbest qualifying system ever.

This system seems to be a mess, hope they switch back to Old system. Last minutes of qualifying was utter crap

Hahaha, awesome. Next step: mercedes team orders to prevent both destroying their tires relative to Ferrari... lol

In a way this is really funny, though.

And hopefully a wake-up call for BE and his lackeys.

New qualifying format is "ok" for Q1 and 2...but not for 3. Other then that Formula 1 is nosediving into the dark zone...2 minutes to go in Q3 and they're already celebrating LH pole.
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

Are the top 8 drivers still starting tomorrow on the set with their best q2 time?

Q1 was... Ok
Q2 was rubbish
Q3 was a joke.

Yet another improvement for our friends at the FIA.

Nearly 3 minutes on the clock still, and all the drivers are out of their cars.

Clearly this system produced the most awesome spectacle ever.

When it's for real Rosberg gets messy.
Ferrari still has a mountain to climb.
The grid behind the top 2 teams is quite tight.
