Don't know if that is the new Wing because the Wing Profiles remind me of some last Years Versions but it is different than what they ran with the MP4-31 so far.

But it has less Flow Conditioners on the Underside and looks like a more extreme Outwash Design. The "Tunnel" shape is quite significant.

I don't think the cascades changed too much. However there are less strakes underneath the wing and the main elements are more curved lateral at the outside. Probably for a bigger vortex in that area

Vandoorne is running with aero rakes on both sides right behind the front wheels in the first lap of FP1.

not sure but it seems Button and Vandorne are faster when not running new wing.

EDIT:Vandorne was on medium during his fast lap, not soft like graphics show.

I'm saying I expect the former Red Bull aerodynamicist to do a good job and bring a really nice Front Wing for this weekend, and maybe help bridge the gap between his current and former teams.

Your argument works on the basis that the redbull wing is sooooooo much better because "it looks more aerodynamic."

My point is simple, you cannot just look at it and compare the front wing purely based of how aerodynamic it looks. That is asinine. A person can look at general features and somewhat figure out what the wing is trying to do to the wing and where it is moving airflow somewhat however things like slot gaps and details are impossible to grade purely by looking at.
