Well in many cases people can jump, run and walk even with terrible injuries due to the adrenaline rush after the accident, but i doubt this is the case here and i completely agree with u. I think Mclaren would be really better off without him and they should give a younger driver a chance to drive. Plus - they will have extra 25-30 millions to spare per year. Alonso was and still is a very good driver, but he has a terrible flaw - his personality and his way of work. In 1999 both Zonta and Villeneueve suffered heavy crashes and jet they drove practically next day. So this are definetly some strange games Fernando is playing, or he is delicate as a flower.
Ever had busted ribs, or a bruised lung ?
Nah, didn't think so.
To claim this guy is "delicate as a flower" is one of the most absurd things I've ever seen on the internet, and that's a BIG claim considering some of the things I've seen.
Here's a 100% true personal account of rib injuries.
I was karting with a bunch of mates back in 2006.
In the last few laps I was having a great time battling with one guy, and as we went over a sort of blind left hander at the top of a hill, he didn't know I was almost alongside and turned in as normal.
We touched and he spun into the run off area, but I went straight into the tyres on my right and bounced out that hard that I did two full 360's.
No worries we all thought !
We were both a bit shook up but ok, and continued partying and having fun for the next day until we all flew home and went back to work.
That first day back at work my side was getting more and more tender, and by lunch I was coughing up blood and could hardly stand up !
Turned out I had 2 broken ribs and some pretty bad bruising on my lung.
Thing is mate, I didn't even know how bad it was until almost 48 hours after it happened.
And honestly, I'm no super hero who doesn't feel pain or anything, it just didn't show up for a while.
So to say Fernando is delicate because he jumped straight out of the car, but now can't race is just so wrong in my opinion.
