Williams in race to bring new nose to Bahrain

http://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/willi ... in-683469/

...

"Williams has brought some updates for this race, and the team is hoping to run its new nose on Saturday, if it arrives in time.

Felipe Massa will have priority if only one is available.

"[We have] some bits here and there," said Bottas, "like a new floor with both of the cars, and small things like brake ducts, and maybe something coming for later this weekend. But we are not sure if we'll have two bits available.

"Let's see if it is going to make it. Felipe is obviously ahead in the points so if there's one, it's going to be for him.

"Every step will be very important, it is so close now with Red Bull and Toro Rosso for us. So every small step will help."

I though, being Bahrain, they would need to take the "MARTINI" text out of the name on the boom arms for the left side wheel guns. It is the team name though, so maybe not.

Williams flying new F1 nose to Bahrain for Saturday practice

Williams is flying its new short nose to Bahrain with the aim to run it in Formula 1 final practice on Saturday.

The Grove-based outfit has run an old-spec nose this season with a production plan put in place to get it on the car in time for round two.

The crash tests have been passed and it is now a race against time to get it to the Middle East in time.

Williams team principal Claire Williams told Autosport there is only one available and it has been decided that Felipe Massa will receive it.

It is believed Massa gets priority because he is ahead of Valtteri Bottas in the championship.

The team is already running a new floor on both cars in Bahrain along with smaller developments such as brake ducts.

The new nose is part of a series of developments Williams is introducing in its battle to get on top of its low-speed cornering weakness.

The feedback from the drivers and feelings within the team so far is the improvements have had a positive effect.

Didn't Williams say the new nose would look like the one on the Mercedes? To me the nub looks a little more sculpted like the ones on the Red Bull and McLaren.
