Stoffel must race next year !!!

We need a potential champion for the future !!!!

He can support Alonso next year in title bid and learn the ropes for 2018 WDC :D :D :D

I'm with you on that!

I only wish it could be done without Jenson or Alonso retiring!

Button overtook Vandoorne with a bit of luck, though at the end of the first lap Stoffel made a mistake.
That car looks quite stable!
A bit of luck? I think Button deserves more credit than that, it was a fantastic overtake on 3 cars into 1 corner. If anything Vandoorne was being cautious, which is by no means a bad thing in that situation. Fantastic drive from Stoffel, but Jenson more so. Very unlucky with the failure, could have scored some decent points there. The improvements are obvious, I don't think we've seen near what this package has to offer.

I did not mean any disrespect to Jenson. Stoffel was not in a good position to dive to the inside, he was pushed and slowed to the outside because of the battle between the TR and FI. Jenson is a bit more back and is not pushed/slowed. The moment he can Stoffel dives to the same hole but by then Jenson already passed the small pack. That was a great drive by both drivers. I just wanted to counter the fact that some are saying Jenson is clearly superior because he overtook Stoffel in the first lap.

Jenson is would have most likely been superior had he finished the race, this of course takes nothing from a reserve driver performing as well as he did on such short notice.

Jenson is consistently underrated yet so often out scores his team mate in his career.

Stoffel will be racing next year.

Yes, Jenson is tremendously competitive, ask Hamilton. But he is not spectacular and because of this people tend to underrate him, which is very unfair.

Well, not sure maybe the angle or shadows are playing tricks but it seems to me that alonso is missing his right pectoral muscles.

No, he isn't missing a muscle

Just super light. No fat. Minimum muscle required for the job.

Edit: I stand corrected! Wow didn't know there was such a thing as Poland Syndrome.

Alonso has Poland syndrome, a weakness or absence of one pectoral muscle.

After investigating it further I've come across these links on another forum. Wiki and some pictures seem to confirm it.

Does anybody know if anybody has ever pulled this off? Somebody falling in for another driver and straight out-qualifying the establishment?
In 2006, Kubica qualified 9th and his teammate Heidfeld 10th, this was Kubica's first race after Villeneuve was deemed medically unfit to race. Does that count?

I thought Vettel might have managed it as well, but was wrong.

I am certain there must be other cases as well though.
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Stoffel needs to leverage his point to his advantage and get some additional sponsors lined up. From what I've read, that's where he's lacking. This showing should help him to make progress in that area. Would be interesting to see if McLaren makes a move on Sauber to have a junior Honda team.

Sauber is aparently set to become Alfa Romeo.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows
