Or they'll see how Alonso goes in FP1 and do further tests to decide if he is fit enough to race.

Does seem like a tremendous improvement, obviously there are a million and one other factors that could be in play but it's a positive to be sure.

Seems to me like Honda is down by 10 kph...325 seems to be the ideal representative rather than 339

After that 339 I think(provided they didn't have slipstream or any other factor to help them achieve this):
Either they're running an extremely compromised setup to compensate for the lack of power, or they're using Honda as an excuse for a terrible chassis.

What I guess is happening, though, is that they probably had wind or something to help them get that speed, and that driveability is a much bigger problem for Honda, rather than raw power.

Honda has a driveability problem(peaky power-ban) and Chassis must be run with very low DF(low drag) to make up for being down on power.

why do u say Honda has driveability problems? I mean what's your resource?
you guys always persisting that Honda's compressor is inside the v so it's smaller than rivals and we know that smaller compressor brings better torque at low revs and this could make better driveability with gradual boost build up and this could explain limited power at high revs(low top speed) so It doesn't seems that they have picky engine.the reason that they burn rear tires isn't bad driveability as one of Mclaren team member said this year car is more demanding on tires than last year car.
There is no Might or Power except with Allah.

I haven't heard the drivers complaining about Honda's drivability issues yet, haven't heard Boulier saying anything about it either and those guys haven't exactly held back on criticizing the PU before so they would've mentioned it if it was the case.

Any source on the Mclaren running low downforce setup? Lots of teams are using flatter rear wing even the ones having Merc engines.

practice 2 was running mid-level DF to prepare for wet Qual.

I think that Alonso speed-trap speed was a mis-print.

Wtf man red flag for a car and wheel that weren't in a dangerous area.
Finally, everyone knows that Red Bull is a joke and Max Verstappen is overrated.
