Have to say I'm convinced most F1 pilot's would agree with Webber's comments right now.

Indeed. I think it's only a matter of time before Button and Alonso join WEC. They probably wait and see how the 2017 F1 regs affects racing, and then make the switch if they're not satisfied.

Yeah, I alluded to this in the Group C thread, and it's probably been Toyota's biggest folly. It's mainly about staying out of the pits, and taking advantage of the more open front aero regulations. That means moving mass onto the front axle. The de facto solution is small ICE engines, gearboxes as light at possible, MGUs on the front axle, batteries in the tub, long wheelbases, and wide front tires. The TS030/040 aero balance was probably fine for it's F/R weight split, but moving to a configuration closer to their competitors will allow for more front downforce, and better tire longevity.

It's the first race this weekend at Silverstone. I think the race starts at 12.00 local time on sunday. Silverstone in the past has produced some interesting racing because of the lack of big braking zones to charge the batteries. It could favour Audi, whose diesel is in a lower ERS class. On the other hand now everybody is using batteries, so the cars might perform more similarly.

Last year the 918 Hybrid system was significantly more effective than Audi's at Silverstone.

Brendon Hartley had a pretty nasty crash. Really shows how well the fin and BHHs are working.

No links but I read they wouldn't appeal

But the skid block is less than a prescribed minimum. Either it is or it isn't. If it is below the minimum then they can hardly argue it. Have they stated why they shouldn't be excluded?

Went to this for the 3 days and thought i was a great event. Walking behind the pits meeting drivers most who were welcome to chat and stuff.

Kobyashi took time after his stint with me which was much appreciated.

Biggest thing i noticed were all the ex F1 drivers are fking tiny!

Audi and Porsche where demons around the fast bends, its amazing watching them go around. Toyota was ok, but you could see it was just that little bit out which adds up over 6 hours of racing.
