I was very impressed with this sentence actually. I was prepared to hear something in the lines of, "F1 is in the right balance now, we should not touch anything" from the team principal of the winning team. I don't buy this, I don't think the cars make more downforce than they did in 2013, they don't have exhaust blowing, maybe they have better high speed downforce, but overall...
I think he must know what he is talking about since he did all those experiments as opposed to us amateur aerodynamicists. But then again, the people in charge of the rules must also have this information but still want to increase DF, although I think it is because they are motivated for things like the visual aspect of the car instead of the sport itself. I am more and more of the opinion this revamp for 2017 will turn out to be an awful idea, at least the way it is now.
