Williams FW38 Mercedes

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Any idea if the new nose has been repaired in time for the weekend?

Williams has been plagued by too much technical melodrama during the last two race weekends, which is quite unusual. I think/hope that Russia will be a good chance for them to really sink their claws into the new nose/floor/etc. package and begin to develop it and the corresponding setup. Maybe not much competitive gain this weekend, but lets see in Spain. After that the schedule becomes difficult because Monaco is its own animal, then comes Canada where everyone is claiming engine upgrades worth zillions of horsepower.

If it was easy it wouldn't be competition. Remember this at the end of the year if they finish a solid 4th.

You can see on the photos that those are spares (for Bottas).

Looks like they are recording the deflection(s) of the FW .
