This thing looked a real handful today. Kudos to Magnussen and Palmer.
Oversteer, understeer, often in the same corner. Renault have their work cut out for them!
I don't think anybody really cares at Renault at this moment. The car is nothing more then a placeholder for a newly developed car next year.Nickel wrote:This thing looked a real handful today. Kudos to Magnussen and Palmer.

A year old Lotus, which wasn't very good to begin with
Which is very exaggerated and even bullshit. Two cheap drivers... with with the worst engine on the grid bolted onto it
I think Renault pay the least of all factory teams for their drivers, almost at the same level as Toro Rosso, Manor and Sauber. Their driver pairing doesn't reflect anything like a factory team. And you're right, the Honda is probably a bit worse.Blackout wrote:And what those FIA stickers are for?

So almost B-spec car with B-spec power unit =D>Chassis technical director Nick Chester said: “For the [Spanish] race we have an updated rear wing as well as some updates for the front wing.
“For the test we have a full raft of things to try; new suspension, further aero updates over various areas of the car, some mods to cooling as well as evaluating the B-spec power unit, so we should have a full two days.”
What are those checkered stickers for, again? many teams are using them nowadays... to monitor flexibility?LookBackTime wrote:Mounted a high speed camera to the wings mainplane, which looks across at the checkered stickers.

Yes, they are "reference points" for the camera and then they can look at the video and compare static, vs End of Straight position (for example) and measure the deflection in mm or something (to give and example)Blackout wrote:

They're often accompanied with a ride height sensor on the wings main plane...
