that is what kind of a person Vettel is.
Well is the same kind of person as Alonso. But you must know that. Remeber 2003: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qx6I2EDVAJA
Absurd discussion if you ask me, but IMHO that incident is completely different, one is a brake test trying to cause someone´s accident, while the other is a usual attempt to block someone who´s trying to pass you. I didn´t even see any abrupt change of direction, and he still left space at both sides, so I think this was more of a mistake by Coulthard who was not prepared for Alonso´s defensive move than Alonso doing something wrong.

Vettel incident OTOH is different, he brakes on a point nobody brake, without any reason as he was the leader. You can easily see that comparing Alonso´s distance with Vettel and Massa cars. I sincerely think he was trying to get Alonso out of the race.
It's just a discussion. First of all, i would like to say that i apreciate Alonso as a driver. And i'm not trying to say that is a bad guy, and Vettel is better.
In my point of view, in both situations, Alonso and Vettel are the ones to blame. In 2003 Alonso made a brake test to Coulthard. He brakes much earlier then it's supose to be. And Vettel brakes in place that was not supose to do also.

@santos

Vettel is better yes, but only if he doesnt forget his notebook...if he left's his notebook at home than he dont finish the race and blame the moon and the stars for it!
Please dont put Vettel in the same sentence whit Alonso or Hamilton cos he is a joke.
We see the success of Vettel after Helmut is not here anymore to protect him......ohh wait!!!

You're talking about a 4time world champion being a joke?
Please show some respect, even if you dislike the guy.

Troll much? Exhibit A why voting on posts should be turned on in race threads...this is a free pass for people with agendas.

aral edit. Hate comments removed. That doesn't leave anything in the post. Drivers in F1 do not deserve these sort of comments.

Note from aral. The offending quote has been removed.

Why do you think his 4 titles are fraud?

Given you signature you should be a Vettel Fanboy, because he fits that description, :wink:

This thread needs a janitor.

On topic: It's supposed to be relatively cold (around 20°C) ... it'll probably hurt Ferrari more than Merc judging by the previous races so we can't really expect an exciting race unfortunately... unless Ferrari brings a shitton of upgrades and Merc doesn't ...

edit: maybe i'll write a few words about the "driver X is a villain" "driver Y has a bad character" stuff ... every driver will have his "moments" one could use to prove they're bad guys, but they simply want to win, even if it means testing out the limits of what's still sportsmanlike behaviour/within the rules or making a bad judgement call from time to time ... hell, people admire Senna and he drove like an asshole more than once, same with Schumacher - don't fill the threads with unnecessary flaming, meet up, have a beer or bash each others heads in but try to keep the threads focused ... the topics used to be analysis and interesting info, now you have to wade through 20+ pages of bickering and fanboyism to find something worth reading
