It's not really that different. The underlying philosophy is the same as for instance Red Bull. The added details concerning the inner edges are merely serrations

They still run the connected end plate though, a solution that isn't popular anymore since 2014 when everyone moved away from it.

Wing tips don't follow the trend either, everyone has them curling downwards.

That is pretty much the solution everyone runs, apart from McLaren.

Also in that Picture it doesn't look like the Frontwing is Painted. So will we only see it in the FP's or can we expect them to Race it if it works?

Jenson used the new front wing and brake ducts on his fastest lap. Fernando used the old front wing and brake ducts on his fastest lap.

Isnt that strange adjuster disrupting the air flow?

the one with the green flow vis is Spain.
Clearly the narrowing starts closer to the front and is more pronounced.
An almost rectangular hole at the back (Triagular before).
Lower hole (start below the upper suspension arm).

@diffuser: Yes they are running the smaller Engine Cover they already had in the First Week of Pre Season Testing since Russia.

The bottom of that rear wing still looks like it can hold a latte. Anybody understand why the front is almost level with the back? I presumed it was for less downforce but I'm not sure any more...

LOL, maybe they need to run more rake ???

Here is a better shot .... Thunder's a slacker on the pics ;)... Or is is it "Thunder only happens when it's raining?"

If Alonso has really been faster running on the old parts it may be that they still haven't got the hang of the tweaks they need with the new ones. What upsets me is that I can't get excited about a McLaren being between two Red Bulls on the standings because they generally don't get in Qualy the positions they get on Practice.

They only have one new front wing and Button will be racing with it. But now in FP3, he went out for an installation lap and they took the new fw off the car and to the back of the garage, so I wonder if they will race with it.
EDIT: it's back on the car now.
