Kind of surprised that they will lower the rear wing again. One of the reason wasn't safety, to improve rear view?

Notice thickness of wishbones on Ferraris front suspension.
And from the top view you can see that the Ferrari wishbone has a distinctly smaller trailing edge.. maybe ferrari uses them as flow conditioners and red bull not so much.. who the hell knows....

The top wishbone on the Ferrari also has the steering rod inside. It's not an entire wishbone. It has the carbon sheath over both the components, where as the redbull has its steering arm much lower. The red bulls lower wishbones are webbed like the merc, which means they can be thinner and wider. The ones on the Ferrari are not. So that might explain the thickness differential

and you can also see that the Ferrari has a taller front tyre and an even taller rear tyre! You cannot tell anything from such photos. And it is not the wishbone that you see, but purely a carbon fibre cover over the wishbone.

I suppose the two things that strike me as being interesting are the locations of the air intakes of the sidepods, and the camber on the front tyres.

Ferrari could locate the intake higher. I wonder why their philosophy dictates it being in its current location? Is it their interpretation of aerodynamics, or do they have internal configurations that dictate this placement?

With respect to camber, am I wrong in thinking Ferrari are running higher camber than Red Bull? Could this be evidence of their inability to optimise their tyres? Needing to run more extreme camber to generate grip etc...

Have a look at the differences in front wing philosophy! Ferrari are moving air away from the side of the car thus allowing the rads to be cooled by air from under the car. The rads are lower and so cog is lower. Red bull is directing air over the front wing and into the intakes, so need a higher opening. Who is right and who is wrong? Who knows, but both have their reasons for their own designs, and thank goodness that there are differences!

Rear wings were raised to reduce the impact of wake on following cars after a lot of research from the OWG, not that it matters because F1 seems to be on a path to self destruction, brought on by those at the top milking it dry and rules dictated by the quickest/richest teams.

-Off topic but I don't think you can use the words "a lot of research" and OWG in the same sentence.

They had a budget of like 1 or 2 million.

Merc probably spent more then that on the W floor.

Exactly, these are different suspension arrangements. Simply no point to compare thickness.
