In any event, a penalty would make the race largely redundant unless the Red Bull's can keep up with Ham.
And that makes it a political decision, rather than a regulatory one, doesn't it.

exactly, the decision today is political.... they dont want Lewis to run away with the race and championship tomorrow

I don't agree with this.

If anything they are just cowards, because they are afraid to apply the rules in fear of lessening the "spectacle" of the race.

The problem here is you are dealing probably with a technical directive from Charlie Whiting, which is often considered an opinion and has less regulatory power (it has some, but it's not black and white).

I do agree if the FIA or stewards were atleast considering it, we would have news by now it is under investigation.
Well, as Sevach posted, Rosberg was lucky in so far as the car was clear by the time he went through and that he could clearly see it.
Not much in it, but I think a penalty would be harsh. And it would spoil any semblance of a race or Ham/Ros crash.

Or a common sense decision, taking all factors into account.

i get the same feeling as i had in early 2000s... the FIAerri etc
Now they want someone else to win other than Lewis, coz he has won last 2 years and it is getting boring for the "casual fan". Hence Nico gets away with lots of such infractions this year.
FFS Lewis got a reprimand in Bahrain, just coz he reversed 10 cm in the pitlane!

Did you watch quali?

Whats up with the hate towards Verstappen?
I agree he needs to step up a bit in quali, but in racetrim he is super!

Also: wats up with your uncanny affection for Rosberg?
I know he used to look a bit like Brittney spears, but come on...

Verstappen and Ricciardo were both unlucky, in FP3 he was way faster than Ricciardo, just a bit unlucky in Q3
same goes for a number of other drivers.

The second one being for the incident Rosberg had already passed? And it was a right hander which is pretty low speed, if this is the "second one" you a referring to?

Because it was the corner just before Alonso spun...

It's only fair that he's asking this.
