ok. so what is your take now?
My take is he lifted, saw the car being retrieved, and continued apace.

This has absolutely no comparison to the Bianchi incident.

Right or wrong he stays on pole, and I'm happy for that.

He didn't know if there was another car involved. Could have been a pile of cars in the next corner, two yellows means he has to be prepared to stop.

FH what are you on about? No car was 'retrieved', Alo drove away after waiting for a few cars to go by, and Nico passed him on track a few corners later. Did you even watch any of this?

Nico pulled a great lap and deserved the pole he's been faultless throughout the sessions. Glad he kept it he's had the rough end of the stick from stewards lately. Hamilton fans don't like it even despite this but anything but him on pole they'd find something to complain about.

This has got to be sarcasm.

At least now we know all you need to do in a double yellow zone is lightning-fast get off and on the throttle then attack the next totally blind corners regardless of what may or may not lie ahead.

I´m guessing a rule change will come after something like this:

"If the only thing keeping a person decent is the expectation of divine reward, then brother that person is a piece of sh*t"

Regardless of which driver you support, there is absolutely no need to make generalisations about an entire fanbase. This is a technical forum, remember? I know the race thread devolves quickly but can we at least make an effort to remain objective? Did Nico adhere to the rules as written and as implied? What do Hams fans have to do with that?

19:16 + time to publish. It took them so long to figure out that there was something wrong? They might as well let mob vote for results, turn this farce into American wrestling or give championship to anyone Ecclestone chooses in advance. Couldn't Mercedes guarantee gearbox failure in the race to keep the illusion?

Hulkenberg yellows in Austria - not a problem
High speed crash x 10 - not a problem
Driving with a broken car, causing 2 collision - no problem.
