Well, yet another session marred by ridiculous FIA decisions. WTF ELSE IS NEW.

Ok folks, time to just agree that qualifying got a bit borked, so lets move on. Hope for an exciting race tomorrow!!!

I am expecting something during lap1 turn 1 to happen, definitely there is a crash at the 1st corner. I hope that to be both Mercs so that the rest of the thread is not filled with shits about Mercs drivers tomorrow and we could discuss something about racing as well.

Despite my mistake for been Turn 10, feels to me weird that there were double yellow on turn 8 and 9 and green in turn 10 when Alo is between 9 and 10 at that time. But when Ros arrived to the area Alo was on the moved, so why it was still yellow flag? And it was double yellow or just yellow? Because it feels a bit extreme double yellow for just one spun

You honestly think a turn 1 crash between Merc drivers is a way to avoid a race thread full of "shits about Mercs drivers"???? #-o
Also, you don't want to see a race between the fastest two cars???

You are strange and your opinion confuses me.

Because the Marshals are human, and it takes time for them to coordinate everything.

By the time Rosberg actually reaches that turn the light was off.

Rosberg 2nd lap S1: 28.377/S2: 28.759/ S3: 22.829

He gained everything in S2 with yellow flag, it's a shame if hey allow him to keep P1 on grid
My two cents in defense of Rosberg:
He did slow down, a lot for a dry track (and improving, he was expected to be faster, not equal to the previous lap) in turn 8. The fact that that involves minimal time loss and sets him for a better for turn 9 is just good luck. In turn 9 he could (should) have slowed down a lot more, absolutely. But I call bull on the losing of only a tenth. In his pole lap, he is still looking for the apex of turn one, it is not even on the camera! Yet he improved. And in sector three the was doing a slalom through traffic, always with a dubious line and in dirty air, and he improved. There was simply a lot of extra time to be had in the lap at the time he did it, for him and for every one, and S2 could possibly have been a lot faster. 7 tenths? I don't know, but improving in every sector in such a messy, dirty, trafficky lap suggest that there was a lot more than the 2 tenths he gained in sector two, which is where most corners are.
My view anyways.
Rivals, not enemies. (Now paraphrased from A. Newey).

Even if the flags are slow to be dropped after an incident it is not for the driver to judge, just obey. This decision confuses me, if a driver manages to go purple through a sector with double yellows through 2 corners I would sure hope they showed that pace throughout the rest of the lap, he didn't manage even personal bests. What ever way you look at this it doesn't bode well for safety of marshall, drivers will push it to the limit and someone will get hurt again. Without the yellow it would have been one hell of a sector!

Saying that, if Nico could have gone 7 tenths faster in the middle sector alone as you say, Lewis was already 4 tenths up on Nico, and a clean final sector, Lewis was going to be closer to 1.17's than 1.19's

Lets get on to the race,
If Lewis is jumped by Ricciardo being on the dirty side of the grid, and lets say Red Bulls race pace is good so the top 4 are running all close to each other, how do Merc get Lewis in front of Ricciardo ? As giving him the undercut will put Rosbergs position ar risk. If Nico pits first Red Bull will react and cover Lewis on the next lap.
