Speaking of tire wars, sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere already, how about having different manufacturers, with the teams getting freedom to choose whatever they feel best fit tire on a raceday? Ex: Both Pirelli and Michelin would supply everybody on the grid. Ferrari can take Pirelli for what suits their car; Mercedes could go Michelin; FI could do bridgestone. Part of me wants a new tire war, the lap times, speed and different strategies would be wonderful. But the other part thinks, no team wants to be stuck with the second fastest tire contract after investing millions...
