RedBull not as visually obvious where they're simulating the 2017 downforce levels (perhaps baseline with 2015/2016 levels first?)lio007 wrote:Finally...

It looks to have a beam wing and modified diffuser. They look to be adding downforce just in a different way.j2004p wrote:RedBull not as visually obvious where they're simulating the 2017 downforce levels (perhaps baseline with 2015/2016 levels first?)lio007 wrote:Finally...

I don't see the skirts on the Red Bull - where are you seeing them?henry wrote:Beam wing and skirts.
On the side of the floor. They look about 50mm deep . Unlike the Ferrari they don't look designed to run along the ground. Probably just down to the reference plane.f1316 wrote:I don't see the skirts on the Red Bull - where are you seeing them?henry wrote:Beam wing and skirts.
Couldn't get much of a view of the diffuser either but must be something - beam wing alone surely not enough to get close to kind of loads we're expecting next year.
Remarkable how much difference the tyres make - and the wider rear wing too, even when high - and how that aesthetic improvement just makes such a difference to perception.
Cool looking cars are ultimate more interesting than ugly ones (you heard it here first!)

They appear to be directional tyres but they aren't mounted directionally. Strange.atlantis wrote:

Different treads on the tires between left and right?!
