My guess is Button to Williams for one year, and Perez back to Mclaren in the hopes that they are a front running team again next year. Button retires next year with the record for most races started, and Perez will ship off to Ferrari to replace a retiring Raikkonen.
A quote like that to me sounds like Perez will move to Renault.
btw, 'what i always wanted' does not neccesarily reflect childhood dreams, rather what he wanted for 2017 or past 2016.....perhaps a 'clear' NR1 driver status hoping to emulate Alonso's Renault days? I think Perez to Renault sounds fitting in this case, as long as they will actually make something worthwile. Renault HAS announced to start slamming a whopping load more of money to the F1 project for 2017, Perez brings a bunchload of Carlos Slim millions to the table, so it might be something to ponder about.
Renault : Perez & Nasr? Ocon?
Williams: Bottas & VanDoorne/Button/Nasr?
Mclaren: Alonso & VanDoorne/Button?

while also sending off 4 Hamilton players to make it more interesting"

Long shot but:
Perez is of course backed by Carlos Slim. Because Telmex doesn't have to make any adds (they have a monopoly) branding is not so much a problem but... Slim is also involved with Samsung Mexico (according to Wiki) what is part of Samsung who have, true Samsung Card a 20% stake in Samsung cars, what is owned for 80% by Renault.
It's a bit of a Kevin Bacon connection
I for one would not be surprised one iota to see Perez go to Renault, but who would pair him, Ocon seems the most likely? Grosjean could end up back in the team that he started with? Frankly there's better drivers than Kmag and Palmer currently in the grid. I don't see why Renault would keep either, as harsh as it is, and it does sound harsh.
*Perhaps this opens the door for Wehrlein to go to Force India with a nice check from Mercedes.
What about the Haas seat? Replace Guitierez and compete with Grosjean for Raikkonens seat in 2018.
Although i expext the 2017 Renault to be a contender for the 4th WCC position. This years car is just a mediocre chassis built for a Mercedes engine and probably all effort is put into next years car, together with the excelent progress the engine is making a nr1 driver for Renault could be were some people has dreamt of.

Nobody would dream of driving for a team like HAAS some one who drove for McLaren wouldn't say what Perez said and be talking about HAAS and a MAYBE driving competition with Romain for a MAYBE drive at Ferrari.
He can maybe land a driver for Ferrari at Force India and get a few podiums. Something he won't do at HAAS.

I am between this and Renault. I will prefer him in Renault(alongside Sainz), I would love this line-up.

Losing Vandoorne to get Perez sounds like a pretty bad trade to me.

That's amusing Mclaren thinks he's ready. Also, they might prefer a driver with more f1 millage under his belt, to help develope the car before they bring Vandoorne in.

But Vandoorne is Mclaren´s jewel and I dont think that they want to loose him.
