Dry race though just as I predicted. It will be beautiful cool sunny weather during the race although it's expected to rain before in the morning.

Also, it seems the new Pirelli construction has made the rear tires a bit more durable, and this is causing the fronts in turn to overheat, which is why the hard tire is working well here. The fronts are now the limiting factor, so getting the right balance is going to be tricky.

The Mediums might work seeing as ambient temperature will be in the low 20's, however it will be sunny so track temperature could be as high as 40c. It certainly doesn't help that it's expected to be rain most of today.

I think we never had a worse competition about the championship before. Even Vettel against his own had more class as he at least try do it perfectly and did not dump every second Q lap.
Contrary to that, I think IF there was another fast and competitive driver like a Ricciardo in the same Red Bull from 2009-2013, we would have probably seen a different picture altogether. Might still have Vettel won 4 championship, might be not and the other driver would have won all four, or the championships would have got divided between them, OR worse, while they were taking points off, Alonso or someone would have won all others ! Same goes for qualifying. If Vettel was in knowledge that he had to take more risks to secure a pole because there is another highly competitive team mate weighing for the same, he would have ended up making mistakes, which he didn't because Webber was simply a no match.
I don't really agree there.

It's always 'what if', and there lies a big bag of fantasy theories for grabs.
The truth is, that didn't happen. Even though Alonso came close with Ferrari, and i'm still really sad for him he didn't make it by not being able to pass Petrov. Sad, but let's be fair, earned by Vettel. Did he have the best car? sure, but isn't that rather always the case? You are first compared to your teammate, and to be honest, i don't see Webber as Schumacher material, but he held a great candle against Vettel, rather close actually.
Yet, Vettel came out on top. Either way, Vettel beat his teammate, and beat the rest. Hamilton has been doing just that too and funny enough, Rosberg does eerily remind me of the Vettel-Webber situations, obviously Webber being the Rosberg here.
Rosberg is to be praised for his capacities and being 'up there'. I just dont think he is such a complete and good package as Lewis Hamilton is. If he would have had just as much bad luck aftermath as Lewis has had, and still be in front in the same position as now, all glory to Nico.
As odd as it is, if he actually manages to make it, he surely will be somewhat compared to father Keke, who - lets be honest here - didnt win that WDC of his spectacular and pressure-resistant wins. IIRC, it was 'just' 1 win and a whooooole lot of bad luck for his opponents.

I do admit we might have and probably surely would have seen a different competition if for example Alonso would have been in the RedBull pairing Vettel. just imagine that. I'm still not that sure on Ricciardo being 'better' than Webber. he's definately good, but at this point i'm not sure he's actually undeniably better, but time will tell and i do feel there's more coming from Daniel.

Vettel did turn out to make mistakes when pressurised, remember Button's fantastic win in Canada, all the way from the back to the front and pressuring Seb into a mistake leading JB to win that race?

Either way, i am just as sure that were Alonso in the same team as Lewis at MErcedes, i think we would have seen better performances over Nico. Then again, the chances on even bigger 'clashes' are absolutely possible, rather probable actually.

Also, Vettel bing more classy about it is something i definately don't see. Remember the finger? Crybaby? Remember the boo-ing on the podium?

Another board member with a very good willpower to believe. And who can say that it's impossible that that happens?

Matter of fact, please yes!

1. Hamilton
2. Rosberg
3. Alonso
4. Verstappen
5. Ricciardo

it keeps being astonoshing how Rosberg's lead deminishes to nothing and loses it to fully returning to that same lead and realising how easy that lead is completely gone if Hamilton just wins the race and nico doesn't finish in the points.
If that doesn't happen - a dnf for 6 - then he's got a big challenge on his hands. let's see what he's made of.

Then again, nico just needs to accidentaly touch him and both go out and i think the chances are slim lewis is able to still make it then.

I just want to see(after soooooo long) a wet race whit a steady light rain all the way(no drying) and that the start goes whit no incident....just to see how different drivers cope whit that situation......i think there would be some surprises.

Last wet race was in Silverstone with surprising performances from Verstappen and Raikkonen compared to their team mates. It will be exciting to see a wet race and as GoranF1 said to see how different drivers cope with the changing conditions, although I would like a damp start with light rain after 15-18 laps then a drying track in the final stages of the race.
The cheapest sort of pride is national pride, every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.

I'd dearly love the Mercs to take one another out. The rest of the field is tight!! A wet race will be boring with the Mercs in it. Hamilton will eat Rosberg alive, while on SnapChat!

That was close, Lewis woke up in Q3 but Rosberg still made it.

Ferrari seems very good through the esses didn't expect that.
