Mark Webber Retires

Post

It looks like Mark is calling at the end of the season. Shall we all have a shoey in honor of Mark.

If you haven't read it or listen to it his autobiography was a good listen ( I do audio books in the car)

I'm very much interested in this quote:
Mark Webber probably said, not wrote: "I will miss the sheer speed, downforce and competition, but I want to leave on a high and I'm very much looking forward to my new tasks."
Does anyone know what "new tasks" he's alluding to?

Even though he was one of the very few drivers I just didn't like, I very much enjoyed his book, especially the story about trying to get out the CLR-GT1 while it was still sliding on its roof after yet another flip.

I would guess he will be a publicity guy for Porshe

or maybe champagne distribution.

Possibly potable water testing?

OMG I loved Mark Webber during his racing career. Maybe not the best driver a team could imagine. But I believe he was a well outspoken person, which F1 really needed. Most of the time, he was spot on and funny as hell. Will miss you, Marky Mark. I am sure we'll hear from again though!

Won't miss him. He got his stats because he had the best car, no thanks to him!

I will always remember when he started with Jaguar with Klien. The worst pair of driver EVER!

Such a fun, friendly and honest personality. One of my all time favorite drivers. Skill wise probably not as good as the big-3 in F1, but close enough, and in my opinion underrated by many. Super quick at certain tracks and when in-form. I hope we continue to see him doing TV-work.
