Sidepod looks like it is tighter but that might of happened earlier (the version you released the sidepods hit the boundary box so have a flat section on their flank)

You are right, they have a smaller section (I am using smaller heat exchangers, about the minimum allowed)

Well submitted, realised there were a couple of things that did not fit the rules. I think they are now all sorted but haven't been able to test if they have stuffed up my CoP and think i am still lacking cooling.
good luck to the others cars are looking clean and efficient (yeah forgot that also drags going to hold me back)
Hope to move up a spot but i am sure others will have made more gains than myself.

I am trying to use an older release of WFlow to solve the other issue.
Problem fixed: you can find the solution on the official WFlow forum (thanks LVDH)

Any idea when the limited class files will be available? I'm thinking about starting to design something but really need the initial boost.

Why don't you try my OS model?

It was released some weeks ago, so it would be better to check if it is compliant with the updated rules.
It has some balancing problems (CoP around 2.0m). If I were in you, I would use a low drag (and low df) rear wing ;)

Yeah, there will not be any intro class this year.
Getting this season running took all of my time and Chris did not have time to adapt the car either.
So after the open source car from CAEdevice was released we figured that that should give newcomers easy enough access to this challenge.

TKS. If you don't mind my suggesting, update the files page pointing there. I've refreshing it daily since the second race.

I can say that designing a car for the efficiency tracks is much more interesting compared to extreme donwforce tracks. I have been learning very much these three days. I have good numbers (but I would need more efficiency to win), only a bit worried about CoP.

I think that JJR and HP-Racing will be on top.

I guess the podium: JJR, HP, CAEdevice (but Variante could push me towards 4th place).

so in the spare 10 or so minutes I had yesterday I decided to give the front end a slight tweak, trying something different. I also had another 10 minutes last week to have a look at the cfd results and realised that there was a recirculation zone on my tiny top wing at the front. so I made it bigger and added a larger one underneath. this is the beginning of an overhaul and philosophy change which I intend to introduce in 10 minute intervals. As always, nothing is optimised as I currently have no cfd, and everything is done 'by eye'. Also, I have not made any changes to cooling because that would probably take 40 minutes, (4 weeks worth of work), but it is part of the planned overhaul and change in philosophy. Yay for 54% engine power. i'm currently more interested in how much downforce/drag the new wing adds and how it affects cop. Oh yeah, the new overhaul will include a new diffuser, but that will take probably 30 minutes (3 weeks of work)

because it is the weekend tomorrow I will probably have another spare 10 mins (very rare) to have a look at the new rulebook and make sure my car is legal

The car is detailed and refined, but I have doubts about the angle of attack of the leading edge of the wings.

Sorry for not replying to this sooner. There is now effectively no cooling duct as far as the rulebook is concerned, there is only a heat exchanger. Any bodywork that would form a duct is treated the same way as regular bodywork.
