I posted it here because someone else had the issue and hoped to get it fixed that way.
Plus what's the point in posting on the support forum? I posted a thread 19hrs ago to no response.

Because if you post it over there and someone has the same problem it will be possible to find it in two weeks. In this forum there is far too much going on. Also I cannot always give 24h support for this as I also have other things I do.

Just copy and paste it over afterwards. The person who had the issue may never see the thread on the Mantium forum so couldn't share there experience.
All that forum has done is fragment the help process. The better thing to do would be collate the issues and fixes and have a knowledge base.

I have completed the car for Sao Paulo, it is the same car with an evolution of small details (rearview mirrors, rear wing supports, cooling internal ducts).
I think that TF configuration is promising, but I would need more time to develop a similar solution, maybe I will be ready for Le Mans or for next year.

For the next race, considering the championship standings, I hope that TF, Variante and HP will be on the podium...

I had a very interesting dream about MVRC last night... Not sure why I was dreaming about this because I have lots more important things to be dreaming about, but anyhow, I dreamt that I came 3rd in brazil...

Wanna hear the best part? There were only 3 entrants, and I was still a fair way off the top two!

:D :D

Back on topic, I had a look through my results for the previous race and found hat ceadevice was right and my front wing didn't work as well as I intended. Angle of the leading edge needs to be adjusted. I'll start work on my car on Sunday morning when I get some free time

So far only two cars have been submitted. So if you manage to submit yours and somehow nobody else does, your dream can become reality.
But the best dreams are when you aim high and it then happens. So maybe try to be better than last.

Which log files do you need to figure out why I was having the issue on the previous page?
I did a clean install on the second PC and did everything like I did on my main PC and still have the same issue. Its confused me.

Everything that ends with .log
Please also use the closed surfaces check tool. OF has an issue with non-closed heat exchanger geometries.

I have never dreamt about MVRC, but it sometime happens that I can't sleep, thinking about some details and doing "mental" CFD. Or maybe was I dreaming?

I would post this earlier but i didnt had internet connection for a week. I uploaded my car through my phone before the monthly quota kicked in so i dont know if the staff even received the car. Let me know if there is a problem about that.

So this is the improved low drag spec car that raced at sepang. I changed almost every aspect of the car to get a better result this time. There is a brand new cooling that gives some great numbers. But that design leaded to some legal issues about footbox since the cooling has ducts that i carved on the front of the car. Re-desinged the front diffuser and re-introduced the front wheel pod diffuser (dunno if this is the name of it) for gaining what i did lost when i lowered the diffuser for the footbox issues. Changed the rear wing to single element for lowering the drag.

The only concern that i have is that i only could test the car on mvrc_fast option on wflow. Couldnt get it work on the standart test parameters, gived the error that i posted on the mvrc forum (errors like this : Cannot find any patch or group names matching “wing_front.*).

Hi,
your car has arrived a few days ago. I have not opened the file yet. I will do that tomorrow and inform you if it is corrupted.
Your car once more looks very nice. I just hope to not get hurt my eyes again when I turn it around and see a last minute fix on the air box. I am pretty sure that you will score a podium this year. Your cars have all been good but always suffered from one big flaw. If you leave that out for once you will get that podium.

Nice car Ft5fTL!

Mine have been submitted today. I am not very satisfied: it is about the same car of the last race, with similar performance.
It could sound strange to you, but I am very unhappy with the development I could do during the last weeks and a bit frustrated.
I was not able to undestand and to manage the flow under the car.

Sorry to bother the staff again about this point: any news about porous media parameters for Le Mans?

I will not change anything.

Today I achieved a big breakthrough. I just finished the post-processing tool I developed myself. I will show the results of that tomorrow. It is missing the surfaceLIC pictures but everything else works. The plots are bit uglier than before but as it is not based on Matplotlib anymore I will be able to make it available for Windows (I hope, developing this caused many stupid setbacks). The 3D graphics look a bit nicer now. Also it does not use two different Paraview versions and 20GB of memory but is a stand-alone-tool and uses less than 1GB and is much much faster.
I will try to release it coming Monday.
