And it hasn't been much different since then, with some seasons as exception. The next couple of seasons are most definitely expected to be worse in terms of dirty air - add to that tires with more life. A lot of tracks have been altered in some way or another to accommodate this; Hungaroring T1 being a good example off the top of my head.

@GPR-A,

I didn't specifically have the mercs. in mind. It could be argued it's worse for the mercs., but everyone knows all cars suffer from this to a significant degree.
Races with 0, 1 or 2 overtakes at much, I remember those days. This is what I fear from the upcoming season. Have F1 made the same mistake once again? I hope not, but I am not very hopeful about this.

About The Rosberg-Max-Hamilton undercut. I still think that unless it rains the biggest rival for Mercedes this race will be Ferrari. But I consider that both Mercedes should be comfortably ahead in Brazil. The PU plains a major role and this ocassion Ferrari should be stronger than RB.

Called it, last week.

Damp Friday, cloudy but dry on Saturday, similar conditions to 2012 come race day....

Where'd you get that idea? :roll: :lol:

Do you have actually a single idea what you're talking about? 70% chance on rain, likewise Qually. 85% clouded.
Friday will have rain and thunder. Saturday guaranteed rain @ 12.00 PM local time.
Monday rain from 4 am till 3 pm sure. Just shows how rainy it is around this weekend.

With a bit of luck, we'll have lots of rain, and changing circumstances during Qually and Race, favouring the real drivers and hampering the sensitive ones.

This is going to be awesome. just don't have Lewis, Max, Daniel, Vettel and Kimi off in the first corner or so. I delibaretely didn't include Nico not because i 'wish' him such, but because i want a super-exciting final showdown. I'm fine with him coming in 2nd [pref. 3rd] but a dnf would make things so much more interesting.

Every single race thread this year includes a comment predicting a boring race. And a lot of the races, even in the dry :shock:, have been exciting. The championship is coming to an end, and it could be decided this weekend, or there could be a major upset (like a Rosberg DNF). I feel sorry for anyone expecting to be sitting on their couch come Sunday evening in state of boredom.

i think you should get over the fact that claiming the race will be bone dry and boring is really far-fetched and clearly not based upon the facts that the weather show.

If you only knew who I work with :) I got access to some pretty cool weather stuff. Mostly you do to if you know where to look.

http://weather.cod.edu/index.php This is a good site for U.S. weather.

https://www.windytv.com/ This one is ok, has nice graphics and you can cycle between GFS and ECMWF

https://www.wunderground.com/ Probably the site with more or less the most accurate forecasts because they use data aggregates from air ports, weather stations, weather ballons, radar, satellite, and some other stuff I can't remember. Plus I'm pretty proud of the fact they used some of my code indirectly :)
