Rosberg asked if it was ok to do donuts. Can't do anything without a team instruction.

I could've sworn that Verstappen ended up finishing the race ahead of Ricciardo. Hang on, I'll just check the standings.

:wtf:

How on earth did he manage that? It can't be because he was switched to a different strategy because, as you say, that was purely about blocking and media visibility and it can't be because he drove faster because his performance this race was

Slower driver on a slower strategy, in the same car ... but goes faster ... FIA corruption must have reached the point where they ignore the race and just publish random race standings!

I fell asleep somewhere 15laps before the end, thats how exciting the season finale was...Thank god this season is over, hopefully next one is better, but not very likely it will be, because it is becoming a fact that the sport is worse every year. I just watched a 09 season review and i saw that in that time in one race happened more than it happens now in 3, 4 or even 5 races in a row, and the most sad thing is that in 09 i didnt think im seeing something special. So what i can take out of this is just wow. Im glad to have a break out of it and finally spend weekends for something more usefull than watching a procession of almost forward known results.

And something else worth mentioning; I far more enjoyed debates, comments, technical commentary and spottings and even some rants and so on from the people on this forum than the actual season itself, so cheers guys and thank u for all of it, and im looking forward for more in the time of livery speculation and testing. =D>

@ Proteus

Car launches & pre-season anticipation are far more interesting than the races these days. I think that the regulations nowadays also strangle innovation.
Looking back to the late 80's & early 90's there was far more variety of car / engine set-up. Also, mid-season B-spec. cars used to be introduced which spiced the racing season up a bit.

I suppose that F1 represents the spirit of the times, everything is becoming homogenised........

Alonso finished the season in the points again... Glad to see McHonda making it, sad for Button... Let's hope they are better next year... There were some aggressive moves on track, liked the race.

He's been outstanding this year. It's amazing to think he even missed a race and drove with broken ribs in another. McLaren and Honda just please give him a car to challenge!

Also loved that moved Nico pulled on Verstappen, he's diced and he kept a cool head.

Toto pissed off with Hamilton! "Christian (Horner) had the idea of slowing Nico down and he (Hamilton) listened to him...maybe he should drive for him!" Nice one Toto...18 wins already this year...what's the point in maybe losing one and letting people enjoy Formula 1 a bit more! Not that Hamilton would have let Sebastian thru but ok! Oh and Nico had the option to pass Hamilton but he didn't have the speed apparently... :P

It was nice to see Vettel up the podium, also great recovery from Verstappen.

Hamilton mighty as always, for once Rosberg did not crumble with the amount of presussure put on him.
So wel done to him to!

Lets bring on next year with the new cars

What was Paddy Lowe doing getting involved and what did he realistically expect Hamilton to do bearing in mind the situation?
