About the podium, it looks like there are three new entries. I have seen two of them now and they look promising. But I think for anyone to get a podium the first race is at this point almost impossible. If TF is going towards L/D of 6 I would put my money on him. If JJR is playing poker with his car I guess the championship will go to Italy.

I am pessimistic, but, this is the car for Le Mans.

Thanks. At the moment I am trying to avoid flow separation on some critical surfaces with vortex generators (some of them are visible in the image): I have time for only two runs... my workstation is burning!

Sorry about that. I hope you will change your mind after some weeks without thinking about the car (it happens to me sometimes).

Since it is the last race, I decided to show a picture for adults only: MP004C naked!

PS: The effects of vortex generators on the flow (and on the local mesh ;) ) are positive!

Championship points before the last race:
CAEdevice 80
JJR Racing 73
TF 60

With TF being a clear candidate for victory for this race I think there is even a slim chance of him taking away the grand prize.
I am looking forward to tomorrow morning when I see all of your cars.

Here is a screenshots from the last version of my car.

Unfortunately i lost some aero efficiency for cooling.

I posted some indepth images on my blog about my car for this race if anyone interested about it.

Thanks for posting the pictures in your blog, I admit I studied them accurately.

My "mental" CFD says DF/DR ratio above 4.

Always interesting to check your pictures Ft5fTL. I really like the cooling/front diff set up. I tried it myself some time ago with no luck. BTW I can see my Sepang's rear wing is spreading to other teams ;).

Regarding my entry I uploaded a minor revision of Sepang's car with slightly better L/D ~5.5. I might upload a newer one if my last simulation improves some and I can make it on time. Pictures coming soon...

My car is much less efficient, but I should not have any convergence issue this time. It has been developed for 1500 iterations, but it will behave the same (or slightly better) with 2000 iterations. Let's wait for the results... I am an interested spectator of the podium battle :)

Despite the not exciting results for my car in the efficiency races, I can't wait to start the development of the car for the next season or, at least, the discussion about new proposals. We really need a finer mesh and 2nd order equations.

Sure, you do not know what headache starts then for you.
At least from the submissions so far I am happy to see how CAD quality has improved once more. Last race was the worst and now it is back on track.

Just everyone remember to submit today and not as usual on Sunday.

What kind of headache exactly? Are you talking about flow separation and design issues or about numerical issues?

I could provide a much better geometry if heavier STL would be allowed.
