Tripod maximum angle?

Having looked at many photos of the rear of the 2016 cars, they seems to run alot of drive shaft angularity. I am assuming that they all run a tripod of some description?

So I was wondering just how much it is possible to run without it becoming a problem?

10-15 degrees depending on the joint but less is optimal for heat/wear reasons.

The one I have specs for has a max articulation of 23 degrees between -5 and 16 mm of plunge, and has a maximum plunge in each direction of 25 mm (at which it has no articulation).

As such it cannot be used at the outboard end of a steerable wheel as lock there is around 45 degrees.
