It is pre-2017 model. If you look closely leading edge of main plane is connected with endplate at 90° where in 2017 main plane is angled

They are parallel like they were before. Only the wing is swept back from the centerlineBig Mangalhit wrote:I was wondering about that, if the endplates were also swept and thus had a 90º degree angle to the main plane, or if they were in parallel to each other and thus had an obtuse angle with the main plane. I tried to look in the manor model for reference but couldn't be sure

Why are topics about cars from the stone age still above all the 2017 speculation threads? Mods???
Interesting, it could be a good solution, if it works of course. At least it shows a team willing to make an step forward.f1316 wrote:I guess it's more an engine thing but also speculation and interesting as it speaks positively to the car's potential:

Exciting news. Just speculating, but it seems to me that Ferrari is going back to "the old ways" -- emphasis on the engine over all other factors -- for better or worse. With Allison gone, and Ferrari unable or unwilling to sign Lowe, or Symonds, or Brawn, the team has a more Italian-centric organization. Binotto, the lead tech guy, comes from the engine department, now led by two other Italians, "chief designer Sassi Lorenzo and Enrico Gualteri, who is responsible for assembly." I think we could see more emphasis on the engine, possibly to the detriment of Chassis and aero I fear this new engine will be a grenade -- at least at first -- but it could add some interest to the season.f1316 wrote:I guess it's more an engine thing but also speculation and interesting as it speaks positively to the car's potential:

There may be reports that Ferrari has changes to its piston design but there is no information out there that Ferrari is NOT focusing on aero.Eddie_Temple wrote: ...2017 regulation change approaching, Ferrari focus on PU because previous regulations were PU dominated...
Technical Director has zero aero experience... As an outsider and given that MA is still team principal, the writing is on the wall.RelosJQ wrote:There may be reports that Ferrari has changes to its piston design but there is no information out there that Ferrari is NOT focusing on aero.Eddie_Temple wrote: ...2017 regulation change approaching, Ferrari focus on PU because previous regulations were PU dominated...
Do you know that? Are you an insider?
