...in the world?
You will be very surprised to find out it's Lego. They produce over 306 million tires per year making then the world's highest volume tire supplier.
Lego also turned 50 this week.

To say "the largest tire manufacturers" when referring to who makes the largest tires would be poor English. If I'd meant that I would have said "who are the manufacturers of the largest tires" or "who manufacture the largest tires".nae wrote:u say one thing, and i go search, and meant another
Even smaller than those Modbaraban.modbaraban wrote:You mean... this sort of tires?
I'm confused and not even sure I gonna be able to sleep tonight
Lego tires are definitely rubbery. Even the small ones (I just checked )vyselegend wrote:For me a tyre use some gum-like compounds
suggests there are several large tyre manufactures.Who are the largest tire manufacturers
is perhaps what you intended to askWho IS the largest tire manufacturer
You are right on the "Are" vs "Is" call but the meaning of the original post correct insofar as correct English use goes. The "largest tire manufacturer" does not imply "the manufacturer who makes the largest tires" at all - unless you use backwards, Yoda-style, writing logic.nae wrote:...suggests that you are seeking to know who the manufacturers
of the largest tyres are.
please note
this is a humoristic post on my part and is intended to show
the fun that can be had with the English language...
