BP/Castrol is a major sponsor, not just a supplier like with McLaren

Prost is now an advisor.
Like Lauda at Ferrari in the 90's. And how good that turned out

Car looks much more developed than Williams and Sauber, but I think everyone will not show all their cards up until the first race weekend. As for livery, I expect them to be all-yellow from AUS GP, much like last year.

Why is there not a car thread?

Is this the final livery ? Or is this a testing livery ? I like it but a bit more yellow at the back would be perfect :)

The team was increased by 25 percent within one year and is expected to continue to grow. One can hear that Renault continues to shop at Red Bull, Mercedes and Force India, but many of the engineers can only begin mid-season or end of the year.

After last year's debacle, who knows? I like it, but why they felt the need to change it after just one year is beyond me. Lots of Castrol stickers, by the way
I was hoping for a dark blue livery with black front and rear wings and yellow accents accross the car and BP stickers.
There are BP stickers in the cockpit protection. Why were you expecting that livery?
Because, I already know that Castrol will feature on the McLaren and I was hoping they could give the brand BP more exposure by putting BP on that Renault. Seeming that BP reminded me of a lime green logo with BP Ultimate, I was hoping we had a dark blue car just like the eDams team in Formula E:

The sponsor BP Ultimate would look a lot better on a dark blue surface imo and BP Ultimate has looked great on those Ford Focus WRC cars as well. So it's actually a combination of the two:

BUT, I really don't mind the retro yellow/black of the Renault. It is a good color. Just not really matching with the Castrol sponsorship.

On the whole I don't mind this livery, but in the close up pictures (in the car thread) the matte black appears to have dirty finger marks all over it.

I prefer the black/yellow combination over the yellow one the blue/yellow one is quite good too.

Because of this the real target for the team is 2018 but this season we should see a great improvement too.

I see. Anyway, the blue and yellow from e-DAMS are the official colours of DAMS, and have nothing to do with Renault
