Approximate wheelbases (as far as possible with available images)

Ferrari: 3463 mm ca.
Mercedes: 3666 mm ca.
Renault: 3584mm ca.




My comments:
- I have made my own measurement for Mercedes wheelbase. My find for wheelbase was: greater than 3600 mm and less than 3650 mm
- I have used the yellow tape as reference distance

- Kappa did not take in consideration that wet tires have a greater diameter! 10 mm more - me thinks!

Also nice to have aerial shots of all the cars together for reference so great if we can keep adding to this.

Very interesting if the wheelbase difference between the Ferrari and the Mercedes is 20cm! That's a lot in F1 terms.

If there's any truth to the rumour that Ferrari are going to bring a longer wheelbase car later in the season, that sounds like an admission of error but, of course, it may not be true. Interested to see comparison of turn in between the two - you gotta think turning the limo ain't gonna be as easy - but might be more than made up for with downforce.

Interesting. Reminds me of 2007 - long Ferrari vs shorter McLaren.

According to joseluisf1 (twitter), this information is not right. The mentioned 20 cm is the differnce between the W07 and W08.

what's the size (length) of the rear and front wing endplates?

front did not change i think so it should still be 550

funny to see not just the difference in wheelbase, but also that the Ferrari has a, compared to the RedBull and Mercedes, short backend while the RedBull has a shorter front. It's such a big difference that you can safely say it are complete different aero concepts.

I just want to add a little detail:
According to that article Red Bull and Toro Rosse experimented with different rakes on the day AmuS measured the rakes. So they might not be corrrect and will change for Melbourne.
