Red Bull (C. Horner): First had a sensor failure, then they had battery issues.... Could this one again be Newey's tightly packed design?

McLaren ( E.Boullier): Can't run the second engine have to wait until Honda has finished their investigation on the issue. Called the issue Surprising, disappointing and unexpected.

Does that mean the day is over for both?

What on earth... so initial diagnosis clarly didn't identify the problem, and McLaren went to put the second PU in without confirming that it wasn't a general issue with all PUs?

And it sounds like they're blaming Honda for the delay?
no they are blaming Toyota !

Both didn't have a answer for that. But McLaren seems like a wrap. Red Bull, I honestly don't have got information on their plans for today.
Irvine:"If you don't have a good car you can't win it, unless you are Michael or Senna. Lots of guys won in Adrian Newey's cars, big deal. Adrian is the real genius out there, there is Senna, there is Michael and there is Newey. They were the three great talents."

Alonso has just been called to the garage... so I'm wondering whether the information above is from some time ago, and Honda have now finished their investigation.

Hard situation for @eboullier. They don't know what is the issue with the engine, if it can be reused, if they will homologate without changing anything...

And battery issues for Red Bull apparently. They're out of testing for the day.

Well the RB information was accurate. They are officially not running more today due to a battery issue (Autosport)

Is Ferrari doing what Mercedes did last year when they almost only used the medium tyre?

I hope and pray! Even if it's just 5 or 6 timed laps, anything is better than nothing at all.

Where is the hysteria surrounding this? Or is that reserved for Mclaren Honda??

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Via Autosport:
20:34 Massa and Hamilton both beat Vettel's time, although they are on softs compared to the Ferrari's mediums. Hamilton takes top spot with a 1m21.765s - the first sub-1m22s lap of this test. Massa just misses out on joining him, with a 1m22.076s.
