Which tyre is the best over 1 lap? Definitely Michelin -- French men and woman do know more about Spray things :lol:

Ref Rodders and the sugar and water trick, perhaps Silver Spoon is missing a trick and could have an as yet unrealised future in F1, or maybe they are involved. Just check the area around the Renaults next time for any sign of a "water" leak that has dried when the cars come back to the grid after the warm up!

sugar and water trick would be a great idea to have on the track offline...
so that would create overtaking possibilities when you could actually gain grip when going off the logical racing line....think about it.

Quite interesting that in the rain offline is more grip than on the mormal racing line...in F1 surprisingly(?) Michael Schumacher is one of the few to take advantage of this....

Actually it's know for quite come years now...Ayrton Senna in a book he wrote in 1991 "Principals of Driving" he mentions that there is more grip out side the normal racing line then in the normal racing line and his explanation is quite interesting....and goes more or less like this:

When a driver says that there is a lot of rubber in a certain corner and that it gives more grip he means that the oils, rubbers and other liquid components of the tires hav been deposited on the track (when I mention liquid I mean the components that when the tires are warm tend to get sticky and stick to the track)...what happens when it rains is that all these components that are basicly crude oil sub-products tend to float (cause there less dense then water) creating a slipery area! so on the racing line you're driving on water+oils while outside the racing line you're only drinving on water.
