I think both look horrible, add nothing to the show and should be banned before Australia. But that's just me.

Is it just me or is anyone else unimpressed by the cornering speeds on the youtube videos that are floating around?

I guess they are far from running at full pelt at the moment, but from having seen LMP1 cars live they were more impressive than the 2017 cars.

Concerning overtaking I fear it might be more difficult in braking zones as well this year. The speed all the cars carry into T1 is immense, it looks they have to brake a lot less than in recent years.....

Hmm, isn't your first and last sentence in your post kinda contradictory? :D

You mean the cars which are 10s slower on some tracks are more impressive in corner speeds than F1? Ok.

lmp1 cars have lower cornering speed than 2016 cars.
I dont' think they can't even compared with 2017 ones
maybe you are impressed by acceleration out of the corner more than speed inside the corner

As stated, I am comparing youtube videos with standing live at a race track. Michael Schumacher S at the Nürburgring to be precise. The speed and change of direction was much more impressive than what is transferred by current youtube vids of 2017 winter testing.

With this limitation yes, the 10s slower cars "look" more impressive in corner speeds. But as also stated in my opening sentence, it might just be me.....I guess I was expecting more, too much?

As I stated above it is likely that you call "cornering speed" what actually is acceleration after the apex...if you are cornering slower (as LMP1 does compared to F1) you have an accleration exiting the corner that coud look more impressive

"Soon" quite optimistic if they have to change the full PU.

If true, it's becoming pathetic...how long until they realize they're not up to the challenge?

Another pathetic start of the season #-o #-o

Note that Sauber are currently changing their power unit as well.
